so Yusei hasnt used J-Destroyer yet - but he probably might now that the story is FINALLY moving forward again. Heck, he'll probably use it against Andore next episode who presently has him in a corner with his EARTH/Beast Deck (nice stuff). All Yusei has being Junk Archer (finally appearing again) and 1 f/d m/t (which you can bet will save him) while Andore has Behemoth, the King of all Animals, Forest Guard - Green Baboon, Nimble Momonga, and Playing Possum on his field.

...so I could see Yusei pull off some big combo to bring out Junk Destroyer, wipe out Andore's monsters (Baboon last), then hit directly. I also doubt if Possum comes out that it'd remain the same; probably have some stipulation that it can't be Tributed or used as a Synchro Material Monster except for a Beast-Type (Synchro) monster if you Special Summon it with its effect.
Anyways, it also gives people more incentive to use more non-Tuner Monsters for it at least. It would also be more fun with Synchro Strike to give Junk Destroyer up to 2500 more ATK that turn.
